Falmouth PD reports recent increase in opiate overdoses

FALMOUTH, Mass. — A lethal mix of heroin and fentanyl is responsible for a significant increase in overdoses in recent weeks, according to the Falmouth Police Department.

Falmouth Police has responded to 15 overdose calls over the past seven days, with two of the calls resulting in deaths. The other thirteen lives were saved by the use of Narcan.

The lethal mix increases the risk of death to those who are already using opiates.

If you know anyone with an opiate addiction, the Falmouth Police ask that you encourage them to seek treatment.
