Fallen NH police chief to be added to national memorial

GREENLAND, NH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A New Hampshire police chief killed during a April drug bust will be added to a national memorial next spring.

Greenland Police confirm that Michael Maloney will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in May 2013. The memorial is located in Washington D.C.'s Judiciary Square.

Maloney was shot to death in April after assisting four injured officers to safety. The officers were attempting to serve warrants when suspect Cullen Mutrie opened fire.

The 48-year-old was added to the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Memorial in May 2012.
