Elderly woman hit by vehicle in Salem, police investigating

SALEM, Mass. — State Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian on Highland Street in Salem.

The elderly female victim has serious injuries and is being transported to an area hospital.

The driver of the pickup truck that hit the woman stopped at the scene, police said.
