Dudley man accused of assaulting woman walking with child

WEBSTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Dudley man accused of assaulting a woman as she walked with her young child on East Main Street in Webster has been arrested.

David Taylor, 29, has been charged with indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over and disorderly conduct for the incident which occurred at about 1 p.m. Monday.

According to Mass. State Police, a trooper on patrol in the East Main Street area was flagged down by a woman walking with her child. As the trooper pulled up, a male suspect, later identified as Taylor, was seen running in the opposite direction of the woman. He got into a pickup truck and drove away, police said.

The female victim, a 22-year-old Webster resident, told the trooper Taylor had grabbed her breast as she walked by him, pulling her shirt down and exposing her.

The trooper called for assistance and began searching the area for Taylor; however, they were unable to immediately locate him.

Sometime later, troopers located the pickup truck in question and then the driver. Taylor was taken into custody and is scheduled for arraignment in Dudley District Court.
