MANSFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 23-year-old Mansfield man is facing charges after police said they found nearly $10,000 worth of marijuana and an automatic weapon magazine inside his car during a traffic stop.
Brookline police say officers pulled Michael Simeone over just before 4:30 p.m. Friday on Washington Street for an expired inspection sticker. Officer said they noticed evidence suggesting marijuana was in the car during the stop.
During a search of the car, investigators said they found over a pound of hashish and an automatic weapon magazine with nine rounds of nine millimeter ammunition in it. Investigators also said they seized a grinder, two cell phones, $1,900 in cash, and a smaller package of marijuana.
Simeone was charged with possession of ammunition, possession of a Class C substance, and possession of a Class C substance with intent to distribute.
