Dropkick Murphys and others to play benefit concert for bombing victims

(MyFoxBoston.com) – The Dropkick Murphys will return to Boston at the House of Blues Sunday to play a benefit concert for Boston Marathon bombing victims.

The band has been raising money during the past week by selling "For Boston" T-shirts on its Web store. They have raised more than $200,000 so far, but are striving to raise more.

According to band founder Ken Casey, the benefit show and shirts are two stages of a three-stage plan to help victims.

The final fundraiser will be next week with the announcement of a digital music release.

The show will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The lineup for Sunday includes Dropkick Murphys, State Radio, Big D and the Kids Table, the Parkington Sisters and Old Brigade.
