QUINCY, Mass. — A driver flagged down a Massachusetts State Police trooper early Tuesday morning to say he had been shot at in his car while driving on I-93, according to state police.
The man was driving north on 93 somewhere between Braintree and Quincy around 5:20 a.m. when the shooting occurred.

State police say a trooper found a bullet hole in a rear door of the victim's car, which also had a broken window.
The man, who was driving for Lyft at the time, was not injured and said the man who shot at him was driving a dark colored Dodge Charger and there was another man inside it. He said at least two shots were fired.

"We're shocked by this incredibly frightening incident. As soon as we were made aware of this incident, we reached out to the driver to check on his well-being. We stand ready to assist law enforcement in any investigation" said Lyft in a statement.
Police are investigating the incident. The victim's car was towed off the highway, police say they're not looking at it as a road rage incident.
