• Driver in fatal cyclist crash released on $50,000 bail

HAMPTON, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) — A 19-year-old woman accused of plowing into a group of cyclists over the weekend in Hampton, N.H., killing two from Massachusetts, has been released on $50,000 bail.

According to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections, Darriean Hess, who is charged with negligent homicide, was released on Wednesday and used a bondsman.

A third person is now implicated in the crash. Scott Martin, 19, of Seabrook, N.H., was summonsed to court Thursday. He's charged with allowing his fiancée, Hess, to drive his car hours beforehand, knowing that she did not have a license.

Hess was not held when police stopped the car. Hours later, she was in a different borrowed car when she allegedly hit and killed the two women.

Cindy Sheppard, 48, is also charged in this case. Prosecutors say Sheppard is a drug dealer who gave Hess painkillers and let her drive her car. Sheppard is being held on $10,000 bail.
