Man accused driving drunk, crashing into Tyngsboro farm stand

TYNGSBORO, Mass. — A 34-year-old New Hampshire man is accused of driving drunk and crashing his SUV into a farm stand in Tyngsboro.

The crash happened on Frost Road around 4 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the driver was speeding when he struck a guard rail and drove into the building. Preliminary investigations indicated that alcohol was a factor.

SkyFox flew to the scene, where heavy damage was visible to the building and the vehicle.

The farm is owned by Valerie and Ken Times. They're the fifth generation of that family to own the business.

"He just destroyed our business that we took so long to build,” Valerie said.

Ken grew up on the farm and lives there with his family, including six grandchildren.

"I've had people come that are old and they say they used to come with their grandmother when they were a kid and they keep coming,” he said. "We've been here all this time, we're not going to quit now."

The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, is due to be arraigned Wednesday in Lowell.
