Dozens of windows shot out with pellet gun along one N.H. road

HOOKSETT, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police in Hooksett, N.H. are warning the public about several cases of car and store windows being shot out with what is believed to be a pellet gun.

Investigators say they've received more than two dozen reports of damage to cars and businesses along Hooksett Road since Dec. 24, 2013. They say the crimes are becoming more brazen, citing a recent example of a window being shot out of a moving car near College Park Drive. A young child was sitting in the backseat of the car at the time, but they were not harmed.

Some businesses targeted in the spree include several auto repair companies, a candy store, and a fence company. It is believed the businesses were randomly targeted.

The owner of Hooksett Tire Warehouse is offering a $500 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the crime spree.

All residents and business owners are urged to be vigilant of their surroundings when traveling down Hooksett Road. Anyone with information is asked to call 603-624-1560.
