Dog rescued from icy waters in Boston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A firefighter rescued a dog from frigid waters at Pleasure Bay in South Boston Thursday morning.

Sylvie, a 13-year-old Siberian Husky, had been in the water for a half-hour, the Boston Herald reported, which was just 20 degrees.

Boston firefighter Sean P. Coyle was able to get to where Sylvie was, covered in ice. He pulled the dog out of the water, but then he fell in himself. Coyle had been in a sled attached to a rope, and Sylvie and Coyle were pulled to shore, where the dog was reunited with her owner.
