Dentist, assistant burned during flash fire in Worcester office

WORCESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A flash fire at a dental office that occurred on Linden Street in Worcester on Thursday has left one person with severe burns.

The Worcester Fire Department told FOX 25 that the fire occurred at the Office of Dr. Stanley Levenson. An assistant was refilling a lamp with alcohol that is used when making dentures and somehow the alcohol caught fire.

The flash fire reportedly burned the dentist's face. The dentist and the assistant were rushed to UMass Medical Center with second-degree burns.
