DENNIS, Mass. (AP) — The victim of a deadly motorcycle crash in Dennis is being remembered as a valued co-worker and loyal friend.
Police identified the victim of the Tuesday night crash as 21-year-old Austin Jacobs of Brewster.
Police say he was headed east on Route 6A at about 10:30 p.m. when he lost control, crossed into the westbound lane and went onto the woods. He died at the hospital.
Jacobs was a valued employee of the Dennis Department of Public Works, Assistant Director Greg Rounseville told the Cape Cod Times (http://bit.ly/14aSPVG ).
Friend Alexander Lynch said Jacobs was a great guy who was always smiling.
The crash remains under investigation but police said speed appears to have been a factor.
