David Ortiz went undercover as a Lyft driver

BOSTON — Big Papi can really rock an afro wig.

So much so, that some Lyft riders had no idea their driver was actually David Ortiz, the famous Red Sox slugger.

In a video released on Lyft's YouTube Wednesday shows Big Papi undercover as a Lyft driver.

Rider after rider gets in the car and has no idea who he is, even when he starts dropping numerous clues.

"I'm going to the Red Sox game tonight," said one woman.

"Me too!" said Big Papi.

He even mentioned his infamous President Obama selfie.

"I don't mean to brag, but I took my brothers on a tour (of the White House) and I got a selfie with him," he said.

He finally revealed to the Lyft drivers, ripping off the afro wig.

Lyft says that all these riders were picked up near Fenway Park a few weeks ago.

There are no other plans for Undercover Lyft now, the ridesharing company says, but one can always hope that Tom Brady or Rob Gronkowski make an appearance.
