Curry College: Unidentified caller threatened to ‘shoot everyone’

MILTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Curry College has launched an investigation after an unidentified person called the school and threatened to "shoot everyone," officials said.

Curry College sent an email to students at about 3:05 p.m. Wednesday issuing a warning about a call received by a student working in the Admission Office.

According to school officials, the caller asked to speak with the President; however, it was unclear whether the caller was referring to the President of Curry College or the President of the United States. The student asked the caller to clarify who he was looking for, and the caller responded, "no, the President of the United States."

When the student informed the caller that he possibly had the wrong number, he responded, "fine, I'll just shoot everyone." The caller then hung up, school officials said.

The student worker told authorities she believed the caller was an older male who may have been intoxicated.

Since the incident, the college has increased security on campus.

The Curry College Department of Public Safety is working with the Milton Police Department to investigate the alleged call.
