Critics: Proposed pub is like a Scottish Hooters

QUINCY (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – The licensing board in Quincy will take a second look at a proposal to put a controversial pub near a church.

According to Enterprise News, Tilted Kilt returns before the board on Aug. 28 with its proposal to open in the former Outback Steakhouse.

The proposed location is at 227 Parkingway, which is 443 feet from the front door of the St. John the Baptist Church, located at 44 School St.

The pub is known for waitresses clad in kilts and revealing tops.

Rev. Richard Cannon tells the Enterprise the pub does not belong in family neighborhoods.
