Crews work to remove cows from collapsed barn in Framingham

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A barn collapsed at a farm on Edmands Road in Framingham Wednesday.

The collapse occurred at Eastleigh Farm. Fire officials told FOX 25 that 10 cows were trapped beneath the debris. Three died. No people were hurt.

Officials said it was likely that ice and snow caused the corrugated roof to collapse. A building inspector and veterinarians were on the scene.

SKYFOX was over the scene Wednesday morning as emergency crews worked to remove the cows from the scene. Some of the animals appeared to be able to walk on their own, while others required assistance.

Eastleigh Farm is well-known for its artisan cheese, ice cream, and petting zoo. In October, the farm was set to be foreclosed at auction, according to the MetroWest Daily News, but the Farm and its mortgage owner reached an agreement to postpone it until March.
