Crews remove car submerged in Lynn pond, find no occupants

LYNN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A car was submerged and divers are working to check on the car, a source familiar with the scene told FOX 25.

At around 9 p.m., Lynn fire and police departments received reports of a submerged car at Sluice Pond, on the corner of Lynnfield and Kernwood streets. Dive teams from Beverly and Cambridge have also responded to the scene, and were suiting up to go into the pond and see if there was anyone in the car.

The car had been completely submerged and was partially under ice. Crews were able to pull the car out of the water, and observed no occupants in the car. The investigation is ongoing.
