Crews battle fire on Beacon Street in Boston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A brownstone in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood was the scene of a one-alarm fire Monday.

Firefighters responded to 182 Beacon St. at about 5:57 p.m. for a fire on the roof of a six-story, 14-unit condo building.

According to a tweet from the Boston Fire Dept., during the fire, the rooftop deck fell onto the rubber roof and there is extensive water damage to the building.

No injuries were reported.

The chief has estimated the damage at $1 million.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
