Couple accused of holding down, stabbing Falmouth woman

FALMOUTH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A Cape Cod couple is accused of assaulting a 27-year-old woman on Thursday night at the Gosnold Grove Apartments in Falmouth.

Witnesses claim 28-year-old Jeremy Murray of Bourne held down the woman while his girlfriend, 26-year-old Ashley Gieselman of East Falmouth, stabbed her.

Murray and Gieselman were arrested by Bourne Police at the Bourne Motel and subsequently handed over to the Falmouth Police Department.

Police say the victim is Gieselman's roommate, but that a motive for the altercation is unclear. The victim was taken to Falmouth Hospital and later transferred to a Boston area hospital. Her condition was not updated on Friday night.

Murray and Gieselman face charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed assault to murder.
