Cops: Driver hits local student in Waltham, flees scene

WALTHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Waltham are searching for a car that was involved in a hit and run accident on Chestnut Street early Sunday morning.

According to police, an 18-year-old local college student was struck by the driver while crossing Chestnut Street at Hall Street around 12:12 a.m. on Sunday. The male victim suffered non-life threatening shoulder and head injuries.

Police believe the car involved is a black Ford Mustang.  The driver fled north on Hall Street and then east on Taylor Street.
