Cops: Burglary suspect found with gun in McDonald's parking lot

DERRY, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A burglary suspect wanted for stealing several firearms was arrested by police in the parking lot of a McDonald's in Salem, New Hampshire.

Jesus Morales, 35, of Newmarket, N.H., was arrested on Tuesday night along with two other suspects for a robbery that occurred around 2:20 p.m. in Derry, New Hampshire.

Police in Derry had notified surrounding communities following the burglary, and an officer in Salem located the vehicle that the suspects were believed to be driving around 7:15 p.m.  The vehicle along with the suspects, two males and one female, were found in the parking lot of the McDonald's located at 225 South Broadway.

While speaking to the suspects, police realized that one of them was armed with a .40 caliber handgun.

Morales was taken into custody and charged with felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, false reports to law enforcement, and receiving stolen property.  He was held pending his arraignment on Wednesday at Salem District Court.

The two other suspects were taken into custody for proper identification; however, they were released pending further investigation.
