Concord-Carlisle HS student accused of writing threats against school

CONCORD, Mass. — A Concord-Carlisle High School student was arrested after allegedly writing serious threats against the school community.

After an outburst in the classroom, it was discovered the 17-year-old student had written serious and specific threats against members of the school community in a notebook, said police.

Staff notified the Concord-Carlisle principal Principal Mike Mastrullo, and administrators removed the student for hospitalization and called police, said Superintendent Diana Rigby.

The student threatened others with a gun and an edged object, said police, but no weapons were found. Police would not say if there was a hit list, but said there were specific threats against certain people.

The student, who is not being identified, was arrested and will not be returning the Concord-Carlisle, said Rigby.

The 17-year-old male is charged with crimes against the public peace by threatening to use deadly weapons in a school building and threatening to commit a crime.
