Comcast sub-contractor accused of assaulting woman in her home

ABINGTON, Mass. – A Comcast sub-contractor is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a woman in her home.

According to Abington Police, the man was working in the home when he pushed the 21-year-old victim against a wall and attempted to kiss her.

The woman said she was home alone with the contractor at the time and quickly called police after the alleged assault.

The woman told police the 29-year-old contractor was showing her how to work her cable box when he said "you smell good" and assaulted her.

Police have not identified the suspect but say he is from Rhode Island. He has been summonsed to appear in court on two charges; assault and accosting a person of the opposite sex.

In a statement, Comcast said "We take these allegations very seriously. We can confirm that the contractor was pulled from Comcast work pending the completion of the investigation, and we will cooperate fully with law enforcement."
