Christmas miracle baby born Wednesday

NORWOOD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A baby born on Christmas day is one family's Christmas miracle. The happy new family includes four generations of the Roy family.

Giavanna Cheryl Roy was born at 4:37 a.m. on Dec. 25, the first baby born on Christmas at Norwood Hospital. She was actually a day early and wasn't expected to be a Christmas baby. She weighed in at 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Her proud mother, Cherelle, was also born at Norwood Hospital, as was her grandmother and a lot of other members of the Roy family.

And if that isn't special enough, baby Giavanna Cheryl is partly named after her great grandmother, Cheryl, who was in the room during the entire delivery.

There was a slight complication with the birth, so they're calling this little girl their Christmas miracle.

"When she was born the cord was wrapped around the neck twice, it was. So she did get out safe, but yeah, that was a little scary, but she's fine," Cherelle Roy said.

Baby Roy is doing well and enjoying her very first Christmas.
