Chowdaheadz accused of counterfeiting NFL Merchandise

WOBURN, Mass. — A Woburn-based company is facing counterfeiting charges after selling items with the trademarked Patriots slogan “Do Your Job” on them without permission.

The NFL and the Department of Homeland Security began their investigation in December, 2016 after finding items with the slogan being sold at a kiosk at South Shore Plaza.

The items had been purchased from Born Into It, Inc., a company doing business as Chowdaheadz, to sell Boston sports-themed merchandise.>>Click hear

Chowdaheadz is a popular sports apparel company based in Massachusetts.

According to the Woburn Police Department, a search of the Chowdaheadz headquarters on Friday ended with the seizure of counterfeit NFL t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and more.

Charges will include Counterfeit Merchandise or Services in violation of M.G.L. c266 s147, said police.
