ANDOVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Mass. State Police troopers briefly chased a car before it crashed on Route 93 Northbound Tuesday.
State Police responded to calls for an erratic driver on 93 in Andover at about 3:45 p.m.
Troopers say they found the car and saw that the operator was in fact driving recklessly. They attempted to stop the car, but the operator continued driving, which led to a brief chase.
The chase ended when the car crashed into the guardrail. The car, a Mercury Milan, was operated by a 67-year-old Malden man. He was transported to the hospital and his condition is unknown.
Two lanes of the highway were closed for about 30 minutes as a result of the crash.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
