Celtics-Clippers deal could involve Rivers, KG, and Pierce

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The Boston Celtics may have a much different look next season according to multiple reports saying the team is in talks with the Clippers to work a trade that involves both players and Doc Rivers.

Danny Ainge previously said he thinks Rivers would be back as coach, but then no one could get a straight answer from Rivers. Then there was a mutual interest from Rivers and the L.A. Clippers.

Multiple reports released Saturday say the Celtics and Clippers are now working on a deal that would not only let the Clippers hire Rivers as coach, but pick up Kevin Garnett in a trade.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the only major hurdle left to clear is for the Clippers to include guard Eric Bledsoe.

The deal looks a lot like one that was rumored during the season, in which Garnett would be traded for DeAndre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe, and possibly a couple of draft picks.

If the deal goes through, FOX 25's Brendan Fitzgerald predicts that it will also impact Paul Pierce. The Celtics can buy him out of his contract this summer.

The deal will likely happen in the next two days if it is going to go through.
