Cat with deformity having trouble finding forever home

BOSTON — A tuxedo cat at the MSPCA in Boston is having trouble finding a home, and the shelter is hoping someone out there can take Ivan.

Ivan has malformed legs and cannot walk properly, which is why his previous owner surrendered him. The kitty was born without radial bones in his front legs and also has a deformed left hind leg. Ivan "army crawls" to get around.

Walking is impossible for Ivan and he has trouble using his litter box each and every time, which is why it's been hard finding the right home for the cat.

The MSPCA is putting out a larger call because it knows the perfect person is out there for Ivan. He needs a home with easy-to-clean hard surfaces. Ivan is very social and has a great personality, says MSPCA staffers.

Those interested in adopting Ivan can visit him during open hours or email adoption@mspca.org for more information.
