Carver women killed in Plymouth crash were heading home from Sox game

CARVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- An obituary revealed new details about the life of a Carver woman who was killed along with her mother in a Sept. 22 crash in Plymouth.

Juliet Noel Macchi's obituary, which was published in the Recorder, says the 23-year-old was heading home from the Red Sox game with her mother, Susan, at the time of the crash. An off-duty state trooper, John Basler, 25, is facing charges amid allegations that he was drunk at the time of the head-on crash.

According to her obituary, Juliet lived in Dorchester before moving to Carver during middle school. She was the salutatorian of the Carver High School class of 2008 and was a cum laude graduate of Harvard University in 2012 with a major in visual and environmental studies.

Juliet planned on moving to California to pursue a career in the film industry, but she assured her Facebook friends she would remain a Sox fan.

A memorial service was scheduled for Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Church located at Harvard. Visiting hours for Juliet and Susan were scheduled for Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Russell Peck Funeral Home on Washington Street in Braintree.
