FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - A violent crash split a car in two after it slammed into a telephone pole in Foxborough.
Mass. State Police tell Boston 25 News around 2:45 a.m., a trooper was on patrol on I-495 northbound in Raynham when a passing car nearly struck his cruiser.
The trooper put on his emergency lights and tried to stop the driver, who was going over 100 mph.

The suspect got off I-495 and onto Route 140 in Mansfield.
State Police ended the pursuit when they hit Green Street, a secondary road.
Several minutes later, police were notified that the suspect crashed into a pole on Cedar Street in Foxborough.
The driver, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police also found a handgun at the scene of the crash.
The boy, whose identity has not been released, will face criminal charges related to the crash.
Utility crews were on scene Wednesday morning checking on the pole.
