Suspected drunk driver hits 3 people in Salem

SALEM, Mass. — Three women were hit in Salem Sunday night.

The crash happened near Bridge Street and Washington Street, near the Commuter Rail stop.

Police said the car stayed on scene and the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk.

There is no word on the condition or ages of the victims, though at least one was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Salem has thousands of people visits this weekend before Halloween for festivities.
