Car driven on tracks causes delay on MBTA Commuter Rail

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- MBTA Commuter Rail service was delayed Friday morning after a car drove onto the tracks in Bridgewater.

Bridgewater police tweeted at about 8 a.m. that service was delayed after a car stopped on the tracks near Wall Street crossing. Photos from the scene showed a red sedan parked on the tracks several feet from the crossing.

Service resumed after a tow truck was called in to remove the car. There is no word on why the car was driven onto the tracks.
