3 injured after car crashes into barbershop

BOSTON — Three people were taken to the hospital Wednesday after a car crashed through the store front of a barbershop on Morton Street in Mattapan.

Police so far haven’t released any updates as to how those 3 victims are faring, they also haven’t indicated whether this act was intentional.

FOX25’s Jacqui Heinrich spoke with one person who was just across the street when the crash happened.

“I jumped up and ran outside and I saw the truck inside of the shop and I heard screams ‘there’s someone under it,’” she said.

Police say the crash happened just before 7:30 pm when a black jeep went straight through the storefront of Primo’s and neighbors say there were people inside at the time, with the evening hours being busiest for this business.

Police kept the street blocked to traffic between Norfolk and Selden for about an hour while they collected evidence.

People who live in the area told FOX25 the crash wasn’t a surprise and traffic is always a problem.

“There’s always accidents on the street, something is always happening,” one neighbor said.

Police say the driver of that Jeep and remained at the scene of the crash. So far there have been no charges filed but the investigation is on-going.

Police tell FOX25 the injuries were non-life threatening.
