LEOMINSTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A car went off the road, through a guard rail, and down a 100-foot embankment on Water Street in Leominster on Tuesday.
Crews responded to Water Street around 3:15 p.m. and found the car down an embankment.
According to the fire department, the car was probably airborne for about 30-feet, flipped once or twice, and landed near the bottom of the embankment.
Fire officials say the driver was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center and is expected to survive.
At this time, it is unclear why the car went off the road.
The crash remains under investigation.
