Cape man faces 3rd OUI after seen with flat tire in drive thru

DENNIS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police in Dennis arrested a 51-year-old Harwich man on Saturday morning after he was seen driving up to a Burger King drive thru with a flat tire.

A Harwich police officer was in the parking lot at the Patriot Square Shopping Center at about 1 a.m. when he says 51-year-old Steven Golden pulled up to the fast food restaurant with a flat tire.

The officer followed Golden as he drove onto Route 134 and into the Cumberland Farms parking lot located in South Dennis. He then contacted Dennis officials and waited with Golden until they arrived.

Dennis officers say they arrived to the scene to find Golden exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. After he reportedly failed field sobriety tests, Golden was placed under arrest for his third operating under the influence of liquor charge and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Golden was released on $300 cash bail. He is scheduled for a Monday morning arraignment.
