Cape man faces 3rd OUI after car found stuck on rocks

ORLEANS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 65-year-old Cape Cod man is facing his third operating under the influence offense after his car was reportedly found stuck on a rocky area outside of an Orleans restaurant.

Donald Jardine is also facing operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and negligent operation of a motor vehicle charges stemming from an incident that happened on Tuesday night.

Mass. State Police say a trooper was patrolling the area near Cove Road at about 10:30 p.m. when he saw a blue Honda Civic stuck on rocks located between the sidewalk and the parking lot of the Land Ho Restaurant. The trooper claims a man was trying to push the front end of the car off the rocks.

Investigators claim Jardine was operating the car. He was placed under arrest at the scene after being accused of operating under the influence.
