Canton drug bust nets marijuana worth almost $1 million

CANTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police said they made a huge drug bust last week in Canton.

Canton police received a tip on Friday that there may be a large marijuana delivery made by a transport company. Canton police, along with Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Stoughton Police Department staked out the premises.

Police said Thomas Jin Kim, 30, of Brooklyn, N.Y., pulled into the lot at 2 p.m. and took the first half of the nearly 300-pound delivery.

Kim was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana. He was arraigned Tuesday in Stoughton District Court and held on $1 million bail.

The street value of the marijuana is close to $1 million, police said.
