SOUTH BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - An 8-year-old cancer survivor and her family have something to be truly thankful for this holiday weekend.
Little Sydni has been through a lot in her young age. She was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor at two months old. Her biggest obstacle has been etting around the family's small home in South Boston.
Sydni's mother called the Boston Mayor Tom Menino's office looking for approval for a handicap ramp. But when she spoke to a member of Mayor Menino's office, they said could do more to help.
The family's entire home will be redone, so it's more accessible to Sydni's needs.
All the workers are donating the supplies and their time. The modifications should be completed by Christmas.
