SAUGUS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Saugus police are investigating several thefts at the Hilltop Steak House that took place after the iconic restaurant announced plans to close.
Investigators tell FOX 25 several items, including leather bound menus, plates, and pots, have been stolen since October 14. The culprits are believed to be trying to sell the stolen souvenirs on the Internet.
Police are working with the steak house to prevent further thefts. They didn't go into further detail on exactly what is being done to prevent people from pilfering items featuring the Hilltop logo.
Earlier this month, the Hilltop announced they would be shutting their doors at the end of the month after more than half a century in business.
