(MyFoxBoston.com) – Dunkin' Brands Group Inc. may be moving its Canton headquarters if the town doesn't extend a tax break.
According to The Boston Globe, Dunkin would like to stay at its location on Royall Street, but the company that owns the building is asking the town to extend a tax deal that would reduce its annual property tax payments by 20 percent for five years.
The tax break would be the final negotiating point to get Dunkin Brands to agree to a 15-year lease agreement.
The company moved to Canton from Randolph in 2005 and produces about $350,000 for the town and 10 percent of its employees are Canton residents.
