BOSTON — Burst pipes plagued downtown Boston Wednesday and it didn't make preparations for Thursday's snowstorm any easier.
Water poured from the second floor of the McCormick Building, where crews were dealing with a significant water main break.
There was also a burst pipe which led the MBTA to bypass Downtown Crossing on both the Orange and Red Lines.
The water issues were likely due to problems with the cold weather.
