Bulger's Santa Monica apartment for rent

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The Santa Monica apartment where James "Whitey" Bulger and Catherine Greig were captured three years ago is now up for rent.

The Princess Eugenia Apartment is where the FBI found the mobster, a stash of weapons, and more than $800,000 hidden in the walls in 2011.

Curbed L.A. says the apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a balcony, fireplace, and fresh paint. Rent is just under $3,000 a month.

The 84-year-old is being housed at a penitentiary in Tucson, Ariz. after his conviction on racketeering charges. Greig is serving an 8-year sentence at a federal correctional institution in Waseca, Minn. for helping her longtime boyfriend evade capture.
