Brockton teen missing since Saturday found safe

UPDATE: Brittany Bransfield has been found and is safe.

BROCKTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Authorities in and around the Brockton area are searching for a 16-year-old girl who was last seen Saturday afternoon.

Brittany Bransfield, a student at Brockton High School, allegedly told her mother she was going across the street at about 4 p.m. Saturday and hasn't been heard from since, The Patriot Ledger reports.

According to the newspaper, Brittany is described as being 5'7" tall, 110 pounds, and has long dark brown hair. Her parents said it is not like Brittany to not answer her phone. Also, they said she does not have a history of running away.
