Brockton Police continue search for missing 11-year-old

Police in Brockton are searching for an 11-year-old boy believed to be a runaway.

The Enterprise reports that Jayvon Phillips was last seen near East Ashland Street at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. He was wearing a black and blue winter coat with gray sweatpants.

The 11-year-old was reported missing just after 5 p.m.

Brockton Police were reportedly concerned about the freezing temperatures and planned to conduct a reverse 911 call to residents asking them to search for the boy.
