Braintree police ticket 65 students in school lot

BRAINTREE, Mass. — It started out as a prank, but Braintree police were not amused.

Braintree police ticketed 65 cars in the Braintree High School parking lot for parking “across” the lines, instead of “between.”

On their Facebook page, Braintree police say they heard the seniors did the prank to "teach the juniors a lesson for parking in their turf."

The students won’t be laughing when they get out of class and see tickets on their cars.

“Thank you for raising $975 for the town,” said police.
