Braintree firefighters raising funds for Newtown

BRAINTREE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Braintree firefighters are selling stickers to raise funds for those affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

The funds will be given to the Sandy Hook School Support fund set up by the United Way of western Connecticut.

Residents of Newtown, Conn. have been flooded with gifts and donations after a gunman opened fire inside the Sandy Hook School on Dec. 14, killing 26 children and faculty members before taking his own life.

The stickers, which feature a memorial ribbon and the date of the shooting, cost $2 each and can be purchased at the Braintree Fire Department Headquarters at 1 Union Place.
