Woman says man showed her gun, sexually assaulted her in Jamaica Plain

BOSTON — Police are investigating after a reported sexual assault that happened in the area of Gay Head Street and Minden Streets in Jamaica Plain.

The victim told officers she was approached by a man who showed her a gun and then had her walk into a nearby backyard where he sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man with light colored eyes. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white logo on the front, a mask pulled up over his nose, and black jeans.

According to the victim, the man ran down Arklow Street toward Walden Street after the attack Thursday before 2 a.m.
