• Boy finds hypodermic needle inside used video game case

BROCKTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 12-year-old Brockton boy was surprised to find an uncapped hypodermic needle inside a used video game that he purchased at the GameStop on Crescent Street.

According to police, the boy purchased a used copy of Call of Duty at the GameStop located at 715 Crescent Street on Sunday and found the needle wrapped inside a pamphlet in the case.

The boy's parents contacted police around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the needle is being analyzed to determine whether or not it had been used. No one was pricked by the needle.

Surveillance video was obtained from the store; however, police did not find anything to indicate that the game had been tampered with while inside the store.

GameStop told the Enterprise News that due to the popularity of that specific game it is nearly impossible to determine who may have brought the game to the store.
