Boston school buses roll Monday morning

BOSTON (AP) - Boston school buses are running as normal even though schools opened an hour early over concerns about another work action by drivers.

The buses rolled out on their routes Monday after public schools announced the early opening.

There were concerns over another work stoppage after the contractor that runs its buses fired two drivers in connection with last month's one-day strike.

Veolia Transportation says two drivers have been terminated in connection with the Oct. 8 strike that affected some 33,000 students.

The union representing the drivers said the strike was initiated by "rogue" employees. Drivers said their grievances included health plan issues and GPS tracking of routes.
